Critical Care Transport - Paramedic

The Critical Care Transport-Paramedic course is designed to prepare Wisconsin paramedics to function as critical care transport team members. Critically ill or injured patients requiring transport between facilities need a different level of care from hospital or emergency field patients. This course provides students with knowledge of the special assessment techniques and needs of the critical care patient, the ability to operate and troubleshoot critical care transport equipment, and the skills necessary to maintain the stability of the critical care patient during transport. This course follows the Wisconsin curriculum for license endorsement as a Critical Care Paramedic. Prerequisites: Licensed Paramedic or RN and a BLS and a ACLS card
