Adv. Emergency Resuscitation

By teaching advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) methodologies and protocols, this course prepares the paramedic student to integrate comprehensive knowledge of causes and pathophysiology into the management of shock, respiratory failure, respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, and peri-arrest states. Emphasizes early intervention to prevent respiratory and/or cardiac arrest if possible. Prerequisite: Admission to Paramedic Technician program 105311 or EMT-Paramedic program 315311
