General Chemistry

Covers the fundamentals of chemistry. Topics include the metric system; problem solving; periodic relationships; chemical reactions, chemical equilibrium; properties of water; acids, bases, and salts; and gas laws. Prerequisite: Reading - Accuplacer 262 or ACT 19 AND Math - Multiple Measure Math 1 (MMM_1) or Accuplacer QAS 246 or ACT 19 AND Science - Multiple Measure Science 1 (MMS_1) OR College Math 10804107 or Intermediate Algebra with Applications 10804118 with a C or better This course has options available to receive credit for prior learning (CPL) or work experience.
