PLA - Introduction to Diversity Studies

This is a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) to test out of the actual course. This PLA is comprised of a written multiple choice/short answer exam. There is a non-refundable fee to take this exam. Upon payment, you will be enrolled in Blackboard where you will see directions for contacting the instructor, completing the exam, some sample questions, and some tips for success before taking the actual exam. You must score an 80% or better for credit to be awarded. Introduces learners to the study of diversity from a local to a global environment using a holistic, interdisciplinary approach. Encourages self-exploration and prepares the learner to work in a diverse environment. In addition to an analysis of majority/minority relations in a multicultural context, the primary topics of race, ethnicity, age, gender, class, sexual orientation, disability, religion are explored. PLA Exam. $50 non-refundable fee.
