PLA - Applied Fluid Power

This is a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) to test out of the actual course. This PLA is comprised of a written multiple choice/short answer exam. There is a non-refundable fee to take this exam. Upon payment, you will be enrolled in Blackboard where you will see directions for contacting the instructor, completing the exam, some sample questions, and some tips for success before taking the actual exam. You must score an 80% or better for credit to be awarded. Learners employ basic principles and application of pumps, compressors, motors, valves, seals, packing, and conductors to demonstrate the advantage of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as the physical properties of liquids and air. The intent is to identify various parts of a circuit and to illustrate standard liquid power components through laboratory experiments. PLA Exam. $50 non-refundable fee.
