PLA - Industrial Safety

This is a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) to test out of the actual course. This PLA is comprised of a written multiple choice/short answer exam. There is a non-refundable fee to take this exam. Upon payment, you will be enrolled in Blackboard where you will see directions for contacting the instructor, completing the exam, some sample questions, and some tips for success before taking the actual exam. You must score an 80% or better for credit to be awarded. This course provides an overview of safety, health, and environmental issues as they relate to industry. Various types of hazards and the controls and equipment used to reduce risks from hazards are discussed. Focus is placed on understanding the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and its function, as well as other regulatory and enforcement agencies associated with industrial safety, health, and the environment. Combination of PLA Exam plus valid OSHA 10 Gen Industry Card. $50 non-refundable fee.
