Contemporary World Literature

Contemporary World Literature presents a post-World War II overview of diverse and multicultural literature. Through readings in long and short fiction and poetry, students explore the way different cultures and writers see their internal and external worlds in relation to their sense of self. The primary focus will be on diverse and multicultural text analysis, seeking and challenging evidence of universal themes and human experience. Prerequisite: High School GPA of 2.6 and MMR and MMW or Accuplacer Reading score of 253 and Writing of 262 or ACT Reading score of 20 or completion of College Reading and Writing 1 10831104 with a “C” or better
