LPN/Paramedic to ADN Skills

This course provides instruction on basic nursing skills and physical assessments across the lifespan. The course includes practice and competency testing with a wide variety of clinical skills such as aseptic technique, wound care, tracheostomy care, suctioning, management of enteral tubes, medication dosage calculation/administration, ostomy care, IV maintenance, and catherization. Students will practice critical thinking and skill building to gain confidence on diverse patient populations in a skills lab setting. Prerequisite: 19 Nursing or Practical Nursing core credits or Licensed Practical Nurse license
