Therapeutic Activity Facilitation

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to design, implement, and evaluate therapeutic activities for individuals and groups of individuals with differing abilities. Emphasizing person-centered and strengths-based approaches, learners will explore the therapeutic benefits of recreation, creative expression, movement, and social engagement. Through experiential learning learners will promote holistic well-being and assist those with diverse needs through program planning, inclusive design, ethical facilitation, and outcome measurement.
