Human Biology

This is an introductory course that emphasizes the structure of the human body and the functional interrelationships of the body's systems. Consideration is given to the human body and disease, human genetics, human ecology, and the role that humans play in the environment. The course consists of 3 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab per week. Note: This course does not meet requirements for or substitute for General Anatomy and Physiology or Anatomy & Physiology I and II. This course does satisfy the Diversity Ethnic Studies requirement and/or Social and Behavioral Sciences requirement. Prerequisite: Reading - Accuplacer 262 or ACT 19 AND Math - Multiple Measure Math 1 (MMM_1) or Accuplacer QAS 246 or ACT 19 AND Science - Multiple Measure Science 2 (MMS_2) OR General Chemistry 10806134, General Biology 10806114, or Human Body in Health & Disease 31509302 with a C or better
