PLA - Intermediate Algebra with Applications

This is a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) to test out of the actual course. This PLA is comprised of mathematical equations where you show your work. Your portfolio submission will be scored individually by the instructor for possible partial credit if appropriate. There is a non-refundable fee to take this exam. Upon payment, you will be enrolled in Blackboard where you will see directions for completing the exam, some sample questions, and some tips for success before taking the actual exam. You must score an 80% or better for credit to be awarded. This course offers algebra content with applications. Topics include properties of real numbers, order of operations, algebraic solution for linear equations and inequalities, operations with polynomial and rational expressions, operations with rational exponents and radicals, algebra of inverse, logarithmic and exponential functions. PLA Portfolio (or extended response answers). $90 non-refundable fee.
