Cultural Anthropology and Human Diversity

This course explores the range of human cultural diversity around the world and seeks explanations of both commonalities and differences. The class will focus on anthropological theoretical perspectives, historical ties indicating patterns of population migrations, and the myriad complexities of modern industrialized multicultural societies, like the United States, as influenced by the global economy and technology. Prerequisite: Reading - Multiple Measure Reading (MMR) or Accuplacer 236 or ACT 15 AND Writing - Multiple Measure Writing (MMW) or Accuplacer 237 or ACT 16 OR 10831104 College Reading and Writing with a C or better
