Environmental Ethics prepares students to understand the ethical implications of human activities on the environment through a critical evaluation of the moral responsibilities individuals and societies may have toward the natural world. A variety of ethical theories will be used in addressing such topics as animal rights, biocentrism, holism, environmental justice, sustainability, and obligations toward future generations.
