This introductory course examines the field of Health Information Management including the hardware and software systems used, common industry terminology, the security and ethical responsibilities of professionals in the field, and the current trends in the industry. Students will focus on accuracy and integrity of health data and confidentiality in this course. Corequisite: 10501101 Medical Terminology
